DIRECTOR OF DEVELOPMENT

American Theater Company, one of Chicago’s longest-standing Ensemble theaters, seeks a full-time Director of Development to join the new senior management in successfully launching the boldest expansion in the company’s twenty-four year history.  Joining a management team of Artistic, Executive, and Producing Director, this senior level position focuses specifically on expanding the theatre’s Corporate and Foundation relationships and managing all aspects of grant proposal prospecting and execution.  This position is not a catch-all development position, but geared specifically toward an individual with exceptional writing skills, excellence in maintaining and cultivating business relationships, persistence and tenacity, exemplary follow-up and organizational skills, and proven track record of meeting deadlines, multi-tasking, and delegating to support staff.   Theater’s development team includes the Executive Director, Chairman of Capital Campaign, Development Associate, Development Fellow and Intern, plus two Development sub-committees of the Board.  Must have 3-year minimum experience in grantwriting or development. DIRECTOR OF AUDIENCE SERVICES

American Theater Company, one of Chicago’s longest-standing Ensemble theaters, seeks a part-time Director of Audience Services to help successfully launch the boldest expansion in the company’s twenty-four year history.  DOAS focuses on establishing and cultivating long-term relationships with subscribers, including developing and executing targeting strategies through a multi-phase subscription campaign.  DOAS manages and supervises the box office and group sales.  The ideal candidate is passionate about theater with exceptional people skills, and tenacious follow-up in cultivating new subscribers and group sales.  Email cover letter, resume, and three references to jobs@atcweb.org by June 30.
